Scallop fishermen may find a good supply of high quality scallops soon along the USA east coast. The National Marine Fisheries Service will be opening the "Elephant Trunk" area off the New Jersey-Delaware coast to scallop harvesting beginning March 1, 2007. Sources claim the area has a high concentration of large scallops after a 3 year fishing closure in the area. More information on this is upcoming.....
