The North Carolina Agromedicine Institute will be co-hosting the 2010 National Institute for Farm Safety Meeting (NIFS) in Wilmington NC from June 27th thru July 1st, 2010, along with NC Farm Bureau, NC Cooperative Extension and Iowa's Center for Agricultural Safety and Health.

This meeting will draw agricultural health and safety professionals (including farming, fishing, and forestry) from across the US, Canada, Scandinavia, and perhaps Australia to the state.

The theme of this year's meeting is 'Diverse Production, Common Hazards: Waves of Safety in Forestry, Farming and Fishing'. The meeting will showcase NC's diverse agriculture, including farm raised and saltwater seafood.

Industry stateholders are invited attend this special opportunity to learn more about agricultural health and safety.
