NOAA Fisheries is seeking information regarding nations whose vessels are engaged in illegal, unreported, or unregulated (IUU) fishing, bycatch of protected marine species, and/or fishing activities that target or incidentally catch sharks in waters beyond any national jurisdiction.
According to NOAA, information gathered will be reviewed and may be used to identify nations in accordance with the Moratorium Protection and Shark Conservation Acts in the January 2013 Report to Congress. Information should be received on or before April 30, 2012.
