Mariners School has introduced the Mariners Learning System™ a series of On-line Captains License training programs approved by the United States Coast Guard. The original concept was to bring the classroom into an online setting. Mariners School has always tried to offer flexible classroom courses to meet these demands. However, there were far too many clients that we could not satisfy their personal and professional time constraints. The result is the exclusive Mariners Learning System™. Users can choose to study in their home, office, or while traveling as long as they have access to the internet and a computer.
Mariners School is privileged to be the first privately owned school to be approved by the United States Coast Guard to offer Captains Licensing Courses On-line. The process to create this incredible learning tool took 18 months and more than $100,000.00 to get it right. However, the end results have justified the investment in time and money. The final outcome is an extraordinary learning tool that incorporates broadcast quality audio visual media, workbooks and computer based training. This is a one of a kind learning system that was based on Mariners School original Coast Guard approved classroom courses. Students who successfully complete the course will be awarded a certificate that will be accepted in lieu of the standard Coast Guard examination!.
Over the years Mariners School has trained more than 15,000 students to get their Captains License. Clients currently are enjoying a 98.7% pass rate with our Coast Guard Approved Licensing programs. The organization claims that this high level of success is achieved because the curriculum is based on teaching understanding not memorization.
